No flowers, no expensive cards. Just three sheets of coloured card and the felt-tip scrawlings of three children. That was all it took to make my wife’s Mother’s Day perfect.
Saved me a packet!

Priceless.
They are lovely! I got home made cards too and it really is much better than a shop bought one.
I said to my husband the other day, “I would rather have a card hand made by The Boy please?” and he looked at me indignantly; he’s already bought the necessary equipment! I never want a bought card from him again, lovingly made mean so much more!
Felt-tipped paper flowers are also cheaper than the real thing and a good deal more lovable. Tend to hate ordained celebratory ‘Days’, but it’s cards like those that convert me.
I had two beautifully handmade cards and they really are all us Mum really want at the end of the day. Well the beginning really and cup of tea too though
