Now THAT’S what I call a breakfast

Fibre meets protein = TASTE – and, after this, no lunch required!

I’ve chosen a mature Red Leicester cheese for this one, because of its astounding melting qualities.

1 slice sour dough bread, toasted and rubbed with a little garlic
Enough Red Leicester cheese to cover it, then grilled until bubbling
1 small tin of beans, plus 1 knob of butter to make them creamy, and seasoned with 1 tsp ground black pepper, heated in a small saucepan for 5 mins
2 sausages, cooked in the frying pan for 12-15 mins
1 tsp Dijon mustard

  1. That’s my kind of breakfast! I’m really hungry and it’s made me hungrier! But it’s 11.30 and the jacket pots have still got half an hour to go, so I’ve got to hold my horses. Damn! There’s something about melted cheese…
