I’ve neglected you for far too long
You made me what I am
But I moved on
Hid you away
On top of a bookcase
Gathering dust
Like your owner
A relic of the past
Left behind
Lonely
Forgotten
Until Tara sparked a thought
Vintage was the theme
A celebration of the old
Not relics, but classics
Re-discovery
A re-appraisal
The past now part of the future
Reunited on this blog

How very dare you hide that away! Tis a thing of beauty. Seriously seriously lovely and you’re right an absolute classic.
Seeing those keys reminds me of learning how to touch type at school and being rapped on the knuckles by the teacher if she ever caught you looking down at your fingers. Seriously!
That is a magnificent beast! x
I can almost hear the sound of the keys
that is an amazing and fabulous thing – you are very lucky! Wow, do you remember the faff of putting a new ribbon in? and carbon paper!! OMG!
Oh. Em. Gee. That is far too gorgeous to be hidden away. How could you do that?
How fabulous! I hope you will now give it a place of choice and dust it regularly!
That is gorgeous – I would love one like that!
The above was me but forgot to change details x
One to treasure, if machines coukd talk I wonder what it would make of an iPad, it certainly has more personality than an iPad!
My god! I remember using a typewriter and getting so annoyed if I made a mistake on it. Fab!
What an absolutely beautiful machine! Simply stunning; what a good choice.
My daughter who is 15, came home the other day and said that she nearly bought an old typewriter in a charity shop. I asked her why she would want that. She said it just looked cool.
So does yours and I forget how cool they were.
